The Way2Work Program is the leading supported self-employment program in Vermont. In 2007 Way2Work was awarded a three-year grant through the Medicaid Infrastructure to research, develop and implement supported self-employment into the toolkit of supported employment providers.  Learn what they are doing now, which businesses are in incubation and the power behind supported self-employment - which is much more than a salary.   Be inspired by the recent start-up business Nickering Nuggets and other opportunities to bring supported self-employment into your toolkit.  Presented by Michelle Paya, the creator of the ASK – Achieving Self-Employment manual and Jackson DeLilli, both from the Way2Work Program at Champlain Community Services in Colchester, VT

Michelle Paya – Director of Supported Employment Services with the Way2Work Program.  Began her journey with CCS and Way2Work in 2007 as a job developer and continues to seek ways to improve the lives of all individuals one job at a time.   Michelle’s hobbies outside of work is riding her horse Winston and showing in the quarter horse circuit or supporting her husband with his business and car racing hobby.

Jackson DeLilli  - Employment Specialist/ Way2Work – Jackson started with CCS in 2018 and quickly became a star in the field – coming from a special education position in a local school.  Jackson experience in the beverage sales has brought a unique outlook on the supported self-employment model.  Jackson enjoys playing soccer competitively and spending time with his 150lb great pyrenes lap dog “Tiger”.
