GMSS prides itself on being an innovative and pragmatic organization that continuously looks to improve how it provides community-based services.
A glaring sign of bureaucratic self-importance is the standard organizational chart. Almost all organizational charts are designed in a 'top to bottom' approach, celebrating the importance of leadership.
We know that the leadership of an organization is not the most important part of GMSS; it is the people we provide services to, and those that directly work with them.
We have updated our organizational chart to reflect this reality. The Person we work for is in the middle and our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) and Shared Living Providers (SLP) are directly connected to the Person.
The layers of outer circles reflect how closely each position works to directly help our DSPs and SLPs in providing high-quality advocacy and supports.
