GMSS congratulates Christina Bell, RN, for earning not one but two prestigious awards this spring. Christina was recognized by Vermont Technical College as it’s Sigma Theta Tau International Student Nominee. She was specifically cited for her “rich nursing knowledge, effective leadership and management skills, work ethic, and professionalism.” Christina was also awarded the VTC Nurse Leadership Award for exemplifying leadership qualities. Christina was commended for displaying “excellence in nursing through scholastic achievement; participation in committees; service to the college; community and social advocacy; role modeling; and promoting academic progression for nurses.” As we all know, we are fortunate to have Christina on our team.
In more exciting news, GMSS congratulates Martha Ide, RN, on her retirement and thanks her for many years of exemplary service. She will surely be missed! Meanwhile, we are pleased to announce that Tanner Kadleck, RN, will be joining the GMSS clinical team. He will work thirty works per week, primarily with our AFC and BI programs, but he will collaborate closely with Christina to ensure our nursing supports are exemplary across all our programs. Tanner comes to us with experience in home health, emergency, and inpatient care. He is also the recipient of CVMC’s DAISY Award which, based on a patient’s nomination, is given to a nurse who has provided extraordinary care and comfort during a difficult circumstance. We believe Tanner’s nursing skills combined with his commitment to respectful, person-centered supports will help to grow GMSS even stronger. Please welcome Tanner.
