GMSS is committed to empower our neighbors with disabilities to be at home in the community; and we strive to be a leader in the delivery of and advocacy for innovative supports to individuals and their families.
In order to reach these goals, the Direct Support Professionals of Green Mountain Support Services must participate in ongoing trainings; our agency is addressing the need for continuous improvement of staff by implementing an annual in-service training day. This year we have the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (nadsp.org) coming for their Cultural Competency Training. Breakfast and Lunch will be served
Our summer in-service training day will be held on:
Tuesday, July 18th at the Canadian Club (414 East Montpelier Road, Barre VT) from 8am to 4pm.
The Direct Support personnel will be unavailable that day. All services will be suspended for this day. We will resume our services on Wednesday, July 19th.
Home Providers and the individuals we provide services to are also welcome to attend. If you are a home provider and interested in attending, please RSVP directly to me before July 1st.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your service coordinator or me. We are very excited to have this nationally renowned organization coming to our neck of the woods.
